The CBS5000-BCU is a central control unit (Battery Control Unit) designed to manage CBS5000-BMU high-voltage battery modules. It is responsible for monitoring the operation of the entire battery stack, system security, and communication with the Sofar hybrid inverter. The BCU enables the construction of flexible energy storage configurations – from several modules in a single cabinet to extensive systems with capacities reaching hundreds of kWh by connecting cabinets in parallel.

The unit operates within a voltage range of 600–1000 V DC, ensuring high system efficiency and compatibility with Sofar industrial inverters (e.g., the HYD series). Integrated protection functions, active energy balancing between modules, and automatic configuration detection after startup ("one-button commissioning") significantly simplify the deployment process. The BCU also features a built-in heater, enabling safe battery charging in low temperatures. IP66 protection and air cooling ensure stable and long-term operation in industrial environments, even with elevated environmental and operational requirements.

8 x CBS5000-BMU – Sofar Solar Battery Module (High-Voltage)

The CBS5000-BMU is a high-voltage battery module from Sofar Solar, designed as a core component of scalable energy storage systems for the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment. The module utilizes safe and stable LiFePO4 technology, ensuring long life, high efficiency, and resistance to heavy cycling. A single module offers 5.12 kWh of energy capacity at a nominal voltage of 51.2 V DC and a capacity of 100 Ah.

The stackable design allows for the quick installation of additional modules without the need for manual wiring between them, significantly reducing installation time and minimizing the risk of installation errors. The module is IP66-rated, allowing it to operate in harsh environmental conditions, including outdoor applications. Its wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +50°C makes the CBS5000-BMU ideal for industrial, warehouse, and infrastructure installations. The CBS5000-BMU is designed to work with the CBS5000-BCU control module, which manages the entire battery stack and communicates with the Sofar hybrid inverter.
